Please add a makeup filter effect. I film a lot of video and often find myself having to apply makeup just to film, or otherwise I just look washed out. You could add a skin tone smoother, eyeshadow, and some shades of lipstick. These features are already widely used in lots of apps, so it shouldn't be too hard but would make life so much easier for many people, I think.

Hi I think a subtle face retouch feature would be great.

I thought that Descript would have face smoothing as a standard feature, I'm quite disappointed to find that it doesn't. In addition to that, it's very laggy when I attempt to use FilterOnMe with Descript so that I have the face smoothing I want.
Can this please be added asap?

Filters for faces

Please add some kind of filter so that it will smooth my face, get rid of blemishes or the shadowing of lights. Filters like are on a phone-smoothing, slim jaw line...etc. Spending a lot of time in 'hair and make-up' to record. Would love filters for face and eyes.

It takes sooooo long to do hair and make-up. Sometimes I like to film in YouCam or TikTok because I can film when I am inspired without having to take 30 mins to do my make-up. If women didn't have to do their hair and make-up, I am pretty sure we would rule the world.

Add real-time facial enhancement for podcast video recordings
Valerie Febres
I’d love to see an optional feature that allows users to enhance their facial appearance subtly during live video calls. This could include real-time skin smoothing, brightness balance, and soft facial contouring to help people feel more confident and polished on camera — especially in low-light conditions or spontaneous meetings. It doesn’t need to alter the user’s identity, just offer a natural, improved version of themselves.
This would be particularly appreciated by professionals, educators, and creators who value showing up with clarity and presence without needing to use third-party tools or external lighting.
This is not about altering identity or heavy beauty filters, but simply offering a gentle, natural enhancement that supports creators who want to maintain a professional and high-quality visual presence while focusing on content.

Not just Zoom, but also competition like CapCut (this is the reason I'm still in CapCut as my primary instead of Descript)
