Feature Request: An add delay button (like in Talkia).
Sometimes the ai voices don't pause long enough (audio scripts) at the respective punctuation marks. An 'add delay button' that lets you add some seconds in between any word or syllables you fancy would be a great solve!

Designate special characters that I can insert into my script so I can set the word gaps. Also, allow configuration of the word gaps after a period in the settings. Create a new area called Overdub settings where these settings can be set. Finally, the last item in a bullet list needs more of a gap before the text in the following paragraph starts.

It’ll be amazing if I found a feature that uses AI that adds gaps into my recording! I make meditation videos and they take forever mostly because I have to pause between sentences a lot so if there was an AI who could intuitively add pauses of 10 or even 20 seconds sometimes that would make my work so much easier. I know I can also clone my voice, but the quality is just not there, yet, for my unique voice with accent.

I write my script and then go through and press ctrl shift G on each new line. (This requires some finger acrobatics with one hand)

It would be great also to have control over the length of GAPS after each PARAGRAPH. For example THE BULK feature to be able to set 2 or 3 seconds after each paragraph

Yes, defining pause lengths after fullstops and paragraph breaks would make so much different to overdub audio...

The overdub voices and stock voices are WAY too fast.
Being able to insert a longer pause between every sentence (at once) is an easy fix, but Descript doesn't have this basic function.
Here is what Descript Customer Service confirmed, "As for changing the pauses between sentences - there isn't currently a way to automatically increase the pause (but we do have a way to shorten word gaps). So at this time, manually increasing gaps is the only way to do it, I'm afraid."
Egad.
Adding a gap between every sentence, one at a time, is very tedious.
Can you just make a simple function that inserts a set gap between every sentence at once?
