I often work on trains and in locations with poor connection. It would be great if there was a true capacity for offline editing like other video editing programs. Even if some AI features would not work until wifi is back. The ability to cut and adjust local files would be amasing.

I understand if a feature was never offered, but to offer Offline for so long and then to remove feels quite disrespectful to users. A critical feature for editing on planes, trains, in the car, or even to focus on editing and avoid the distraction of the web. Just not sure why it would be removed?

Descript used to have an offline capability. I found it very useful, and it was one of the big reasons I chose it, as I do a lot of traveling. Is there a technical reason this was removed, and if so, can the company work to bring it back?

Same here. About to get on a long flight, only to discover that I cannot edit offline. This must be a joke.

Yes please! Returning Offline mode for slow and low internet would be fantastic. Even if I have to click a bunch of boxes that acknowledges I can’t use any AI/Underlord features while offline.

I'm really sorry to have to say this, but if there's no option like ‘Pack and Go’ that allows us to work offline, I'll have to look for another software. I understand that some AI features don't work offline, but some basic features should be no problem for Descript. I was planning to work on a long flight and now I'm really annoyed. Otherwise, as I said, I'll have to look for another solution. Please bring this feature back!

Can’t believe you removed this feature! Been a member since 2021 and flights were my favorite time to edit. Seems crazy I now need internet to do anything!

Cannot believe they got rid of this feature. Been an annual member since 2021 and I’d always save my editing for flights and it worked perfectly. Now you have to be logged in via an internet connection to edit - so dumb!
