Layer order consistency between the canvas and timeline

Can the layer order of the timeline be consistent with the layer order on the canvas? The timeline order really confuses me because they are ordered differently. Or can you offer a feature that allows me to manually order the timeline layers (tracks)?

We're working on a solution here, but in the meantime you can always change the order by right clicking a layer in the canvas
