You can now export video or audio from Descript directly to your HubSpot account—no downloading or re-uploading required.

We’ve added some powerful updates to Descript’s desktop screen recorder:

Select a portion of your screen to record by clicking and dragging. Use the aspect ratio lock or enter exact dimensions for precise framing.

Recordings can now publish instantly to a Descript share page as soon as you stop recording.

We’ve added a faster way to start recording your screen. The new opens a distraction-free recording mode right from your desktop.

To download the Screen Recorder app, open the Screen Recorder, then click the + Add Shortcut to apps button; you can also download the Screen Recorder app from your App Settings, in the General tab.

Once downloaded to your device, add the app to your desktop or dock to launch the Screen Recorder with a single click.

We’ve added a Viewer role to Descript Rooms, available on Business and Enterprise Drives.

Viewers join the session in a dedicated Viewer Room, where they can observe the Rooms session without being seen, heard, or recorded. While Viewers don’t interact with Producers or manage tech, they do count toward the Control Room participant limit.

The Transcription Glossary is now part of Brand Studio, available on Business and Enterprise Drives.

If you’re on a Creator plan, you’ll no longer see the glossary. Rest assured, we’re exploring personal-level glossaries to bring some of that functionality back in the future.
