Ability to re-start recording without transcribing
Dmytro Mezhenskyi
Sometimes during the video recording, I realize that I have to completely re-record it from scratch. In the current implementation, I have to stop the recording which automatically triggers the video transcribing. If this video is a long one then I lose transcribing hours for nothing... I would like to have an option to restart recording without triggering transcribing.

How is this not yet implemented? Providing the option to "Keep take" or "Delete and record again" is a most basic feature in any recording software. Even when the automatic transcription is disabled, Descript begins to process and upload the recording immediately when you stop it. It's incredibly slow, inefficient and frustrating. It's inexcusable that such a basic option is missing - to be able to determine whether or not you want to keep a take.
I wish the Descript team would pause their incessant changes and ever-increasing sophisticated AI features development, and first get the basics right, i.e. a smooth, non-clumsy recording experience.

After Recording: offer options "keep take" or "delete and record again"

When I record it often happens that a take is bad from the start and I want to start over. This is currently very tedious: Stop the recording, Descript begins processing the video, you have to delete it, recreate the scene, etc.
Could you please add an option asking you "keep take" or "delete and record again" immediately when you stop recording? Other recording software (e.g. Panopto) do this and it makes things so much easier.

Agreed! It would also be good to have a way to just trash it without transcribing/enhancing. Sometimes I want to jump back to my script before recording again first and I know I'm not going to use the clip.
