I'm a freelance video editor who finds Descript a very helpful tool when I work on documentary-style jobs, to generate transcripts, create fast "radio" edits inside of Descript (and ability to export XML), and also share projects with clients for them to make highlights and edit suggestions.

However I don't need Descript outside of these occasional gigs which happen a few times a year. As of now I have to sign up for a Creator plan, and then cancel the plan each time, which I've had technical issues doing sometimes where it won't let me cancel. Rather than sign up for a renewal plan, I'd love the option to simply pay for a specific temporary timeframe, even if this costs a little more upfront than a standard plan.
