Overview: We’d like to introduce a new feature to Descript called AI Caption Options. This enhancement builds on the existing captioning and clip generation tools by giving creators dynamic control over how individual words appear on screen—adding style and emphasis to key messaging.

Functionality Requested:

• Text Styling Options by Keyword:

• Bold

• Italicize

• CAPITALIZE

• Colorize (preset palette or hex entry)

• Integration within the current Scene and Captions panel

• Support for both manual selection and AI-recommended keywords based on transcript sentiment or tone

• Compatible with existing template styles, enabling quick application of brand-specific caption preferences

Benefits:

• Highlights emotional or action-driving words to improve engagement on platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts

• Reduces manual editing time spent in external tools like After Effects or CapCut
