Allow project owners to be reassigned by Team admin
Larissa Reynolds
I upgraded to a Team subscription, but just learned that projects are not really owned by the "Team" but still owned and controlled by individual members. I have a team member who has left my company, and I've just learned that all of her Descript projects and files are only available within her account. Yes, I can share them. But I can't cancel her account because it (apparently) means I will lose all of those projects! Even as an Admin, I can't take ownership of the files. This is an IP disaster for me. Not clear on why I've paid for extra "Team" users, if all work and resources are still silo'd within and controlled by an individual user. So far I have not found a workaround except to change logins but keep paying for the "old" team member account. Not happy.

Workspace Owners NEED Full File Access by Default

I just had an experience where we deleted a user but didn't delete their files and they're not going to use Descript again and I found out, much to my amazement, I CANNOT delete their files. That's wild to me since I own the workspace, I made their account AND I deleted it. That doesn't make any sense.

When a user is removed from your drive, we only remove the projects that are in their Private Workspace. All projects in the Drive Workspace will remain.
Drive owners (and Enterprise admins) can move, delete and assign new project ownership to these projects.

Is this still the case?!
