Allow transcription of missed words

Ability to Manually Correct (add) words that were mistakenly transcribed as silence/gaps.

There are many times where I mistakenly pronounce a word and correct myself. Descript thinks that me cutting out the mispronounced portion of the word is removing the word entirely. There are no tools to simply add the word back into the script and link it to the proper audio. The regenerate feature does not work well with my voice so it is not a viable solution yet. You can see in the photo the highlighted section has me clearly pronouncing the word "worked" but I cannot correct it.

I discovered it is actually possible to trick Descript into doing this. Find a gray "ignored" wave form that is a word that Descript missed, then find an adjacent word that was detected. Command-Drag that word's boundary to include the missed waveform. Then update the transcription on the adjacent word to include the missed word. Voila Descript will detect the missing word.

This overlaps with https://feedback.descript.com/feature-requests/p/have-transcript-learn-from-manual-edits but it should be a stand alone option to manually edit the transcript with or without updating the transcription AI. Adding a word yes and also dragging word boundaries across edit boundaries. Like if I cough in the middle of supercalifragilistic
couch
expialidocious I'd like to cut out the cough and splice the word back together, which is not currently possible. Dumb example but it comes up a lot for a variety of reasons when I'm editing.Sarah
Adding to this it would be amazing to be able to mark 'missed' sections as 'laugher' or 'reactions' etc so that they don't get deleted while editing.
