I have no idea why your Zapier integration doesn't allow you to send video (it only allows audio), especially since it is the only way outside the GUI to interface with Descript since you have no available API. At least give us one or the other...thanks!

I need to automate the import from my videos into descript. I am happy to use zapier for that but you only support the import of audio files so far.

Please also support video file import.

Currently it is only possible to create automations using audio files. However, I use Descript almost exclusively for editing video content. Without the ability to automate video transcription I am losing significant time; it would be a huge help to be able to have transcriptions generated automatically.

As a developer, I'd really like to be able to import content into a timeline from a no/low code workflow system like Zapier. I want to use Zapier to work with other sotware prepare different elements (moving image, titles, photos) then Zapier will send those elements along a timeline in Descript. (Then I want to share that timeline with a client for review.)

Possibly the enterprise version allows you to do this with API calls but there's an army of low code developers out here who can't afford this option.

I'm very confused why a video editing platform would have Zapier integration that doesn't allow videos to be zapped? This makes absolutely no sense.

Please!!! I was so excited to see that I could use Zapier with Descript but without the ability to automatically send video files, it is a completely useless integration for me.

Having the option to automatically add videos whether it's through zapier or API would make the workflow a lot more useable!

I'd really like Descript to expand their integrations – starting with adding video to the Zapier integration (especially with the release of Storyboard), adding a native module in Make.com / Integromat, and releasing API docs that we can use as well.

Amen to this. I believe the zap is from the original version of descript that did not support video. I wasted quite a bit of time trying to use the instructions from Descript to set this up.
