Thanks so much for the feedback, John! You can upload an image of yourself to Descript in order to create an avatar of yourself. In the avatar modal, click on the gray box to upload an image and then select assign avatar.

To create an avatar of you with your real voice: Open a new project and click "record" at the bottom of the project. Select "audio only" and then select "record into script." Click stop when you've recorded your voiceover. Click on the speaker label and select "create new speaker." Once you've named your speaker, select the speaker label again and click "assign avatar to [speaker name]." You can upload a photo of yourself by clicking on the gray box to the right of the avatars modal. Finally, select, assign avatar. Make sure to generate your avatar only after you've edited your voiceover.
