Attach Waveform to a speaker

I have a podcast with a circle with face for the two speakers.
It would be great to apply an effect dependent upon who is speaking. What I have in mind is the current speaker would transition from a black and white photo to a colour if that person is speaking.
Similarly it would nice to be able to set colours of shapes dependent to current speaker so that I could highlight the circle surrounding the current speaker.

Allow waveforms to be assigned to individual speakers. Just like how it works with captions-> make a waveform functional ONLY when the specified speaker is speaking. Right now I have to manually go turn waveforms on and off in every scene to get them to activate individually (one at a time) between two or more speakers.

For sure! The circle waveform around a face is a such a good look, but with two people, it doesn’t make any sense.

You and I are of the same mind. A DAW makes multitracking of different character voices natural and simple. Descript understanding a product like Final Draft, makes it possible for stories and scripts to be read out in multiple voices without even multitracking.
