Great feature request! We apologize for not reaching back out to you sooner.
As others have mentioned, Studio Sound is the feature you'll definitely want to check out. Studio Sound is a powerful feature that uses artificial intelligence to enhance speakers' voices while reducing and removing background noise, room echo, and other sounds you don't want.

Support Team thanks for the heads up. We do use Studio Sound and it is great. That said, Studio Sound can change a sound track for the negative and it requires tweaking. For a regular sound track that doesn't need studio sound it would be a huge time saver if the mouth clicks could be removed either automatically or in the same process as removing the ums and ahhs.

Studio sound covers this one.

yes - very helpful. Descript induces click / pops as well when using studio sound.

Audacity can do click and pop removal. Seems like a no brainer. If Descript team wants to get really clever, they could try to run a filter for plosives (those darned P's and B's) to cut those down a bit. A physical pop filter is the better solution but hey, you don't always have one handy.

+1 Yes -- something to approximate the functionality of Izotope RX Mouth De-click (https://www.izotope.com/en/products/rx/features/mouth-de-click.html) would be great.

Thanks nick - some of my favorite podcasters make a tongue clicking sound unconsciously every time they start a new thought and it drives me crazy :)

The ability to automatically remove mouth noise would be a huge stepping stone to making Descript a viable audiobook narration recording / editing tool.
