This would be very helpful. Just like any other video editing software, where you can blur a portion of the screen.

I'm not sure the thought process on what is currently available which blurs out the entire screen. That feature doesn't really make sense to me. A portion yes, but the whole screen, not sure.

agreed, but looking unlikely as you requested this three years ago so clearly not been added to their roadmap. all video editing software should have such a basic feature!

IMO a must have! Right now, I need to export from Descript in order to get those parts blurred in Final Cut Pro.
