any updates on this? honestly alpha channel file import support or a masking layer import would be sufficient - happy to do the chroma key in another app but then want to stick with descript from then on. currently have to export and do various steps afterwards. but would be amazing to have descript be end-to-end.

This would be great to have, although I no longer trust descript for native recording as it's crashed on me 40 minutes into recording one too many times! Once it's more stable I'd love to use the green screen /masking feature

make sure to have decent masking abilities

Ditto to everyone above — I would move everything fully off of Screenflow for recording our software tutorials if Descript could handle this.
