Claude Connector - Expose actual tools, not just Underlord

One of the few tools exposed to the Claude Connector is Underlord. Giving this as a tool makes it double expensive to run. We pay once for Claude, and again for Underlord. The MCP tools that should be exposed are the actual editing tools. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE editing videos through Claude in Descript, but this is a problem. Also - today, as I was editing through a detailed Skill I built, Claude showed this message.... "The agent went off-script again (it started "fixing gaps" and moving camera positions instead of answering) and didn't tell me whether the backgrounds were removed or whether the base is clean.". This means that AI telling AI what to do is like a game of telephone. Direct access to the editing tools would be the ideal situation. Thank you for listening and considering this.

Expand Descript MCP with Direct Editing Controls

We need more basic editing controls with the MCP. Having to use Underlord is unreliable and unsustainable. Even using Haiku is burning credits rapidly.
Ideally, the MCP would expose more direct, deterministic editing tools that external AI models could call themselves. For example:
Read the full transcript with timestamps, speakers, and word-level timing
Delete or trim specific transcript/time ranges
Split clips or scenes at specific timestamps
Move or reorder sections
Create scenes
Add or edit captions
Adjust clip timing
Control tracks/layers
Add or replace media
Apply specific effects or settings
Export/render projects
Access project structure and timeline information
Descript seems to be the only SAAS product that does their MCP this way
