Correct more than 100 characters at a time

I don't know about other users, but personally I'm often asked to re-use previous content from one project to another (for example, we might add existing testimonials to a batch of new ones from their region for a presentation to a new group of program directors) and those clips have already been transcribed. But because they're being combined into another video, the whole newly compiled video will need to be transcribed too.
And not being able to import or even just copy and paste whole paragraphs from the previously independent clip's transcript into the new full length video's transcription slows things down significantly.
And it's not just relevant/limiting when correcting something previously transcribed because it happens with new transcripts too: I just ran into a situation where I couldn't correct a single whole sentence at once to add quotes around brief examples of statements the presenter offered.
Once upon a time the correctable limit was 40 characters and it was raised to 100, so this is obviously something that can be changed. Can you just do away with the limit all together or raise it to a useful character limit? In a real world comparison 100 characters isn't even half a tweet and that's still considered micro...

Any update on this? Been a few years and not being able to correct more than 100 characters is still annoying.

For podcasts with prewritten scripts, it would be SOOOOO nice to be able to replace the transcription for a paragraph or section at a time.
We can currently replace the transcript when we have a transcript of a whole project file.
We can currently use the "Correct E" to fix a few words at a time.
We need the in between where we can fix a paragraph or a segment at a time.
Please please please!

Hi Matt - we already have a full-on mode for this functionality which will allow you to edit the entire script: Correct Text Mode - feel free to check it out! (You can also access this mode by clicking the expand button while in the correct text modal.

Dan Reyes-Cairo: Thanks for this but this isn't it. This has a 100 character limit. That isn't enough to do a paragraph or a full section. For context, the paragraph I just tried it on has 543 characters. Ideally I'd like to do it on a section at a time. The section I'm working on now is 1822 characters.
So so so so sad, my hopes were high. Please reopen this feature request.

Matt: Thanks for the clarification - If I'm understanding correctly, it seems like Correct Text Mode is actually the functionality you're looking for (rather than the tiny "Correct E" box), but the paste limitation is more specifically what you're hoping to increase, yes?

Dan Reyes-Cairo: Yes, that's right.
When I started this post, I didn't know the "Correct Text Mode" existed. I was using the "Correct E" box to fix any transcriptions. So the "Correct Text Mode" is a step forward; however, for me, not that useful yet. Most sentences, for instance, are longer than the 100-character limit.
In my case, I have a perfect transcription of sections of the composition (note: not of the input project files). So I'd love to use that perfect transcription while editing.

Matt: Got it - thanks for the clarification. We do have another feature request to improve the character paste limit so I'll merge this request into that.
