Why is it so difficult to duplicate a layer. Cmd-C and Cmd-V does not do the trick. Please establish a command to duplicate content in the timeline.

+1 here - my use case is that I want to add transparent text and animations behind the speaker. duplicating + green screening the speaker layer would make that easy!
