Edit Sequences in Main Window (Sync Transcript and Sequence)

When I'm editing multi-track audio, if someone coughs while the other one is speaking, there is currently no way for me to just snip it out as I would normally be able to in a typical DAW.
I want to be able to view the transcript view AND the sequence view at the same time—and have them play in a way where they're synced up.
Sequences could be greatly improved by making the transcript edits reflect on the sequence—thus making it possible to edit in multiple ways at once.
If one of my clients coughs while the other is talking, I have to switch views completely, find the time stamp where it happened snip out the cough, switch back to the transcript view, and edit from there. If it was included in the transcript view, I would be able to see where it happened in the sequence view, cut it out via the sequence view, then go back to the transcript view.
Making this change would literally make Descript my exclusive software for editing. This would make it head and shoulders the best software on the market for audio editing.
I've attached a rudimentary design of what I'm talking about. The basic idea would be to have tracks work the same way they do in other DAWs, with the transcript view still visible above them. When you press 'play' on the transcript, it would move the playhead on the sequences view as well as the standard way (highlighting words in the transcript). Then, any edits made in either window would show up in the other—for example, if you cut out a word in the transcript view, the sequence view (still synced in position) would cut it out as well.
This could also have some broad implications for multi-window editing. I use multiple screens (as many editors do) and maybe this is a different window that could be separated out in order to maximize what we're able to see at once.

Allow sequences to contain text and rectanges etc.

This would be great to better organize the timeline. Also tidying up templates that have a lot of elements.

I'd love to be able to edit the multitrack sequence while also looking at the transcript, and vice versa.

When transcribing / editing text from multiple tracks (ie 2 speakers) being able to edit the tracks separately in case both speak / make noise at the same time and you want to remove one track.

Don't require users to move to a second screen to edit multi-track sequences. This context switching can become exhausting and slow down the edit.

this is still an issue in Storyboard

Exactly what I would love to see, either in the same window as in your mockup, or even the ability to toggle playhead synchronization across all the related open windows within the same project.

YES!!! I want to take out filler words and edit the transcript and then export the tracks separately, but the transcript editor is "nondestructive" to the sequences, so all that work never shows up on the individual tracks. Please, please, please make it possible to edit the separate tracks with the transcript editor!!!!!

YES! This means just having a switch between timeline vs sequencer view at the bottom!
100% agree with this. It's causing me a big issue when it comes to editing and making me come out into Reaper sooner than I really would like to
