Export transcript with embedded images
Cristian Cotovan
I have a specific workflow and Descript support confirmed this is not implemented.
I know I can transcribe audio/video, edit the transcriptions and now also insert images on the 'video' multi-track editor. That is great.
But, my flow is this:
- I record tutorial videos with speech and showing what's happening.
- I import the final video into Descript and transcribe it.
- I make the appropriate corrections
- Along the way, I grab particular screenshots from the video
- I insert these in-between paragraphs of text, in the transcript editor.
- They appear as image icon and they appear on the 'screen' and timeline.
Here's my request:
It would be amazing to be able to EXPORT the entire transcript (like it does now into Word document) but with the IMAGES inserted/embedded in-between the paragraphs, at the point I inserted them. Or even better, saved to disk alongside the transcript with serial numbered filenames or the name in the document.
The reason I ask is because this would help tremendously with converting a video tutorial into a blog post.

Add screenshots to transcript export

Have a toggle when exporting transcripts to include a screenshot at the timecodes.
Use case: When creating a transcript of any presentation recording, this feature would include the slide image at that timestamp.
Simple but powerful feature that would be incredibly helpful to see the transcript structure easily.
For example, to give feedback on each slide's talking points or to turn the transcript into talking points to add to slide notes for future presentations. Great for rehearsing or improving presentations.

Bonus points if you also add a feature that auto-creates markers when the slides change.
Double bonus points if the markers are automatically renamed by transcribing the slide title from the screenshot at that point in the presentation.
