Problem: Inserting a freeze frame creates a clip with a long default duration (often 10s or more) and ripples other clips out of alignment. In complex projects, I then have to manually realign everything. This happens a lot after AI voice generation, which introduces small gaps between clips that I fill with freeze frames.
Proposed behavior: When a freeze frame is inserted and a gap follows set its duration to exactly fill that gap without shifting downstream clips.
Edge cases:
No gap after the insertion point: fall back to a short default (e.g. 2s) and ripple as today, or prompt for a duration.
No next clip: use the short default.
Very large gap (over X seconds): cap at X, or ask.
Why it matters: This turns a multi-step realignment into a single action for one of the most common cleanup tasks after voice generation.
