Import strikethrough text

Feature Request: Enhanced Transcript Import Functionality
The ability to import a transcript with ignored text, specifically text that is formatted as strikethrough. This would allow users to exclude certain portions of the transcript/audio while importing it into Descript and adding it to a composition.
Use case: Consider a podcast episode where the guest's audio contains irrelevant or erroneous statements that need to be removed from the final edit. If the transcript of the episode has already been generated, the user can mark these statements as strikethrough in the transcript. When this transcript is imported into Descript, the text marked as strikethrough will be automatically excluded from the composition, saving the user time and effort in the editing process.
This would allow a content editor to update a recording without having to learn the ins and outs of Descript.

Ask AI should not include ignore text

I filed a tech support ticket for this, but was asked to file this as a product suggestion for some reason, so here it is.
When you ~~ignore text with strikethroughs~~ in Descript, that content is still submitted to the Ask AI model. A good example of where this shows up is if you Ask AI to create clips from your current composition. When you do that, it can include the ignored text.
More than a few times, I received 30 seconds worth of ~~ignored text~~ for a clip, meaning it is content I never wanted to be a clip in the first place.
Ask AI uses this throughout. You can see this happen in the product yourself by simply selecting all the text in a comp, strikethrough
all
the text and then Ask AI to summarize the podcast and it will do just that.
