Link Synced Media Together

It would be great if we could link two pieces of media together so that when we edit in the script it doesn't offset the overlay.
I do a lot of screencaptures with my camera as an overlay on my screencapture. So I have 2 media layered on top of eachother, but I basically cannot use the script editor at all, because if I delete a section of the script it does not also remove the corresponding section of the screencapture.
I would love if we could link two media so that removing a section from the script editor removes sections from all linked media.

Allow us to lock an audio track that was recorded seperately with the video so when you edit they don't go out of sync

I was recording a zoom call and the audio was uneven so i imported the seperate audio tracks it saved. I tried to ask the underlord to lock it together so i can edit the video and keep the external audio with it. this is what he said: Unfortunately, Descript doesn't have a "link/lock to video track" feature that keeps overlay audio tracks in sync when script edits are made.
Here's what actually happens when you edit the script: the script track shifts, but overlay audio tracks (like your separate Zoom files) stay at their fixed timeline positions — so they go out of sync.

Editing while using a layout is a mess.

Hi. I recorded 2 videos. One of my face and one of my screen, to make a tutorial. I then used the layout template to have my face in the corner. Both videos are synchronized at that point, but I need to heavily edit the video of my face, and cut many parts. Unfortunately, those edits did not apply to the layout video (my screenshot video), so the videos become de-synchronized. It would be nice to group the videos, so that the edits/cuts can apply to both and they don't drift appart in terms of synchronicity.
My only option was to edit manually in the timeline both videos. I managed to make the cuts, but then ended up with a layout track full of micro-scenes. And I cannot find a way to merge them into one. Because of that, any modification I make in my layout only affect the micro-sequence that is selected. Not the other ones. And i have dozens!
So those 2 features could be VERY helpful:
- grouping the layout video with the main video, so that each cut affects both.
- being able to merge all micro scenes/sequences of the layout video, in case we had to edit it manually and it is split in many sequences.

We shipped a feature that covers this request a while back, which you can learn more about here:

Group screen recording and video layers to preserve syncing when editing script.

I would like the option of locking or grouping screen recording and video files imported from a Squadcast recording session so that, if I need to delete portions of the script, any other layer that is associated with the deleted portion also gets deleted. This will allow all the layers of the session to stay synced without having to go in and manually delete portions of other layers.
