Linux compatibility

Descript is the ONLY application keeping me on Windows. Soon as there's a Ubuntu version, I'll be moving 100% to Ubuntu. And no, don't say there's a web version. We all know the browser based version isn't as good... well, it wasn't. Not that the local storage is gone, the desktop app is basically a fancy browser so idk, maybe I could get away with browser only.

what about linux !!!! again all for Mac and windows , this is good marketing, i was really to use but it's again no? if somebody can fix a freeware, like linux apps, and please not through Wine. you talk about free apps Miss, in your vidéo, but again, i'm terribly desappointed. money money money... oh, i forgot, linux users knwn that, but you have OBS, also for Linux (mac , windows), and that work like a train. But i'm gonna look and ask on a linux Blog, if there is a similar apps, and i think that i find it. i let you know. So long, J-christophe

Descript for Linux

It would be great to have Descript available on Linux as the web version doesn't allow much editing.

As a person who uses Linux this would be a great help if I could install it natively.

This was asked 4 years ago, any progress on this? Any reason it can't be packaged for Linux?

This would be great, there is a lot of things to share with the community and teams on a Linux environment
