Mastering Audio Tool

Would love to be able to use. or have Descript invent, a sound mastering tool like Izotope's Ozone. It does stereo widening, limiting, compressing (which I know you have a Compressor), And raises percieved volume, really does like an automastering of the sound, and lets you tweak the setting too. Adding in things like Aphex Aural Exciter & Big Bottom and BBE processing would create an audio sound like the big studios and really make Descript the only tool I need to edit my Video/audio in.

Remaster Media is a company that allows you to load a video, and it Masters the audio. It makes any recording sound 100 times better, this is great for podcasting or videos. I think you should partner with them as I know they are licensing their technology for other companies to use. Unless you want to make your own. All audio should be mastered. It widens the stereo field, compresses, adds limiter, increases perceived volume, enhances the dynamics. Every cd or dvd you own has been mastered. This is not the same thing as doing a final mix.

Great additions. Not sure if Studio sound will serve as a mastering tool too. It would be cool to do what Remaster media and other software does, giving a mastered sound (Spatial, loudness perception, compressions, limiting, BBE effect of aligning bass and treble tone speed, Aural Exciter effect) to video and audio. Also video color correction or enhancing would be cool.

Able to put on a compressor or brick wall limited to master bus audio so as to maximize overall audio. A simple effect or max audio option with 1 or 2 tweakable options would be sufficient for this.

Would be nice to have that, but even nicer would be if they just FIXED the 100% bug. Try to set ANY amount of Studio Sound filter filter below 100% (to work around the choppiness) – it causes a massive echo on the whole file – UNUSABLE!
Descript knows this since many weeks but … they can't seem to fix it.
This was the one feature we jumped onto Descript.
