Selecting multiple layers/scenes at once with mouse
George Whittam
I'd like to be able to draw a box around a group of layers/scenes with the mouse pointer to select them and be able to move, copy, or delete as a group.

How is this not an option? I have 576 scenes and am about to give up on Descript for my interview show. This is just nuts.

this needs to be implemented, especially with the great AI multicam feature a 1h long composition has easily 250 cuts. How are we supposed to put for instance the name below the speaker for 150 scenes without multiselect?

the problem is, i have multiple scenes that follow one after another and i want to move all 3 scenes together, to the beginning of the video for example
and right now, i can't do it... it's forcing me to do it one at a time, which is annoying
we really need a way to group scenes together (and move them all at once)
please and thank you!

This would a huge improvement. I have a video podcast. I love the AI features to automatically switch camera angles on my seqence to active speaker however when one person isn't speaking exclusively for very long flipping back and forth on these views isn't appropriate thus I change to a side by side view during these segments. Here's the problem... I am editing an episode now that is about 48 mins long and I have about 200 scenes. There are at a minimum 3 templates I would like to apply to specific scenes. 1) for my guest in full view, 2) for me in full view, and 3) for a side by side view. There would be other templates when showing b roll, etc but you get the idea. What I would to be able to do is select all the scenes that I want to apply a template / or layout to then select from a drop down which layout I would like to apply or optionally paste layout that I have copied (in the event I haven't saved a template yet. This would save me a ton of work!!
In terms of implementing this in the UI. It could be to option a check on the scenes listing on the far left of the screen. Then when I am ready to apply a template perhaps right click on one of the selected scenes a drop down list to apply to all scenes. This batch process could be use for other functions too perhaps with a few more tweaks.
I'm sure folks at Descript would have other ideas but I thought I would just get the ball rolling.
Honestly this would save many of us a ton of time so please please take a look at this! - thanks in advance. Joe

Quick Way to Clear All Scenes from Panel
Daniel Martinez Stahl
Hi there,
I don't know what words to use to describe what I am asking for with the correct language so I ask for your patience.
I add and remove already transcribed files to and from the scene list on the left side all the time so I can get better AI results for only specific episodes/sessions of a course.
However, the deletion of these scenes from the active screen takes a long time and I have to do it one by one when I have them all showing at once.
Can you please make it easier for me to clear all scenes from the active window? And/or to be able to select more than one scene to delete at once. There have been times when I've merged all the scenes together (merge with scene below) before deleting, but again, it's tedious.
Thanks and please let me know if my request is not clear.
Lots of Love, Daniel 🙂❤️

This would seriously help. I have 100s of scenes

It would be amazing if this could allow you to export scenes separately from a project at once ie if you had 5 short scenes rather than having to set up 5 different projects or manually export 5 times
