Yes, I posted the following in the Descript community also: https://discord.com/channels/764925197379174411/1302956404281442408
Seeing lots of people using NotebookLM to generate content. I would still like to be able to have a NotebookLM style interface inside Descript where I can ask questions and be able to limit those to just specific videos or folders or to run them for the whole library in order to pull up specific references to old material.
Having transcripts in Descript is great, but getting access to that information in different formats and using them to create new summarized or simplified versions of the older material is not very easy today.
The process requires exporting transcripts to other tools instead of using them directly in descript.
Not sure if you guys have seen how fast the mp3 audio in Google's NotebookLM can be turned into transcripts, but it's been super fast. Much, much faster than Descript does it. In fact, I think it's faster to use google and then paste the transcript into Descript than it is to use the native Descript features to transcribe.
Would be interesting to see Descript push into more Gen AI but not for the stuff inside one file, but rather to provide access to the information inside ALL the files in a similar way to how NotebookLM does it and I would like to make that a subscription model so that Descript would provide me with a way to sell my content with the AI engine to people that can use it. For example, I remain owner of my transcripts and my work, but they can come in and ask questions and pay Descript for the AI time for the answers. And perhaps pay me if there is enough demand for the work I produce for my community.
