Can there be an option to pause cloud sync? I constantly run into an issue where it seems like the desktop app uses a lot of my laptop ram/resources while I am editing as it continuously tries to sync with the cloud after every minor edit, especially when downloading or adding video from the media gallery. My internet upload speeds also are a little slow on my (CenturyLink) network and it seems like I get throttled after each edit, which then causes file downloads to happen slower.
Would it be better on data and computer resource consumption if we had the option to pause cloud sync so that the app won't upload edits while in the process of downloading and adding stock b-roll video, editing, etc., and then unpause cloud sync when we choose? For example, I would likely spend time editing and then when I am done or take a break I would choose to sync my file. Not really doing live collaboration so constantly syncing just gets in the way.
Currently, the only option is to turn off the wi-fi/internet connection on my computer, but that then restricts me from performing other tasks outside of the app that require a connection.
Outside of having this option in the app, what are your suggested requirements for experiencing an optimal performance ie amount of ram, processor, and internet upload speeds?
