Generally really like the app but I'd love the it to be able to keep pace with my editing speed, especially when switching tools, blading and selecting audio tracks. Swapping tools and selecting does not seem to always happen with the first or even second click or keypress, leading to some frustration.

I don't experience the slowness on my mac in general (there are times when it lags after making a transcript edit, sometimes for a while).
However, on my older PC, even playing a video takes a lot of juice and kicks the fans into high gear. As for using the tools, I haven't seen a problem, but I would like to see performance measured and tuned so that this would run well on both platforms... or perhaps have the Descript team give some recommended PC/Mac hardware suggestions so that I can setup my environment the way it needs to be to use the product without lag and without waiting for any operation.

This is happening to me as well, but I thought it was because I was running in a virtual environment.
