Making a vlog is extremely difficult on Descript, because there is no way to lock the script or the layers above. My process is really arduous. First, I record audio into the script (even though Id rather do this after, I cant pull the footage in as a bunch of layers and leave the script layer empty). Then I pull a bunch of clips in. Then I go to edit the script and it auto trims my footage, which I don't want. The only way I can make it work is by editing the script/voiceover audio in one file, footage in another, then combining at the end which is a tough process.
