Quick Breath Editor (right-click option in timeline or sequence)

I would like something that can quickly take the volume out of short sounds between words, such as breaths.
Ideally, it would work like this: As I'm editing audio in either the timeline or the sequence, I can drag-select a section of audio (make it blue), and right click and select an option from a menu that will automatically perform the following steps: 1. add cuts to both the beginning and end of my selection. 2. add a volume keyframe to the section I just created, and 3. reduce the volume of this section by like 80%. 4.
If you want to make it better, add a setting in the preference s that lets you set the % of audio reduction it does, along with an option for adding a short crossfade at the start and the end. of the cut section.
I do this with multiple steps now, and it adds a lot of time to my edits... this feature could save me HOURS during audio editing.
Love the software. thank you

automatic lowering volume level of breathing pauses

Hi, I would like to suggest a new automatic to use feature: that I can tell to Descript to automatically lower all the volume levels of all the breathing pauses in my podcast interview. I guess this is relatively easy to establish, because all those breathing patterns in the waveforms are quite similar. What I suggest that we as a user can choose 'automatically lower all breathing faveforms' and then withj how many db we want to lower all those moments. This feature would be quite different from just 'cutting al breathing pause' out of the raw material, because that would give too short pauses between the words and sentences..... We just need the normal, natural breathing pauses in the timing of the interview, but just would like to not hear them so easily. Thank you in advance for considering this request! This is why I switch between Audacity & Descript. I remove filler words in Descript and then fade out, de-amplify breaths, remove bg noise in Audacity. It's just so MUCH faster & easier to edit breaths in Audacity than Descript. I wish Descript would do something about this. Then I could fully switch to only one software
