Each new project should retain the settings from the last used project so I don't have to repeat the same sequence of actions every single time I apply an effect or AI tool.

For example, I have to Change layout pack in each new project; I have to set Studio Sound intensity to 30% every time I use it; I have to adjust Lower other audio to 30% instead of 10%.

The odd thing is Descript does this with some features like Shorten word gaps but not with others like using Ignore instead of Delete for Filler words.

It really would help make the app more consistent.

Edit: Thought more about this. 90% of creators repeat the same fonts, intros, outros, etc on their videos. It would be such a HUGE time saver if I could set and forget these things and only focus on the few tweaks that change in each video.

Other video editing apps actually have templates - for color grading, sound effects, and so on.

Aside from editable Underlord templates, Descript should allow users create and edit Project templates as well as reusable templates for things like captions, export settings, new scenes, etc.
