have been waiting for more than 1 year to get support for malayalam translation and transcription.

When using the automatic chaptering feature based on the transcript in Descript, the suggested chapter titles are generated in English, even if the entire transcript is in French. This creates inconsistencies and requires additional manual effort to translate or edit the chapter titles.

It would be highly beneficial if the automatic chapter suggestions were generated in the same language as the transcript. For example, if the transcript is in French, the chapters should also be proposed in French. This enhancement would greatly improve the usability of the feature for non-English users and align better with the transcript's language.

When I have a speaker using Dutch sentences, combined with English words in it, the 'translate caption' to English give no result at all. The 'translated' caption video has no caption at all, they are just gone.

So I suggest aiming at combining different languages, or when translating to a target language and parts of the text are recognised already as the target language, keep those and only translate non-target language parts

When exporting transcripts of a composition that has multiple translations, a whole different file is made for each translation. It would be nice if the option is added to export a single file as well, where it goes:

.

Users may also want to control the resolution of how large the blocks are before switching translations. Maybe some will want sentence by sentence, others paragraph by paragraph, others page by page, and so on.

Spanish (as many other languages) has different versions for the pronoun "you" to differentiate between a familiar/informal version (eg. Tú), and a more polite/formal version (eg. Usted). In turn, the verbs, pronouns, etc. are conjugated and declined according to the version used (Tú comes vs. Usted come).

It would be great to have the option of choosing what personal pronoun/version to use when translating. Currently, it is translating by default using the informal version "tú" and one has to manually go into the script and change each pronoun and verb manually if the formal version needs to be used.

Descript provides translation and .srt generation, but does not support multiple-language captions when sharing a link.

When it translates for Spanish there is a feminine and masculine way of speaking so in my video I am speaking and I am feminine right so it wouldn't need to do you have a choice where you could choose masculine or feminine in the Spanish translation options which might be kind of nice because now I have to have my translator go in and fix everything to make it feminine

Add Arabic translation to my reel

I hope there will be a Chinese interface, and add a Traditional Chinese version in the translation options

I do not want the transcript to be translated. Maintain original language
