Stop transcription`
Andrew Lefkowits
Several times I have a file start either automatically transcribing, or I accidentally click the "transcribe" button when I want to either not transcribe, or import a transcription. It would be great to be able to stop the transcription process to avoid getting charged for hours I don't need.

Stop and retry transcription

Descript frequently fails to transcribe my files on the first try (or just takes an inordinate amount of time). When this happens, the "spinning wheel" icon keeps turning, even though elsewhere in the UI it says "transcription failed." I'd like the option to stop and restart transcription when it appears to be failing - like stopping and reloading an unresponsive web page.

Ability to stop AI voice
S
Stefano Bini
I am a beginner. A couple of times I accidentally selected an "AI voice label" when selecting a name for a speaker from a drop down menu. Once the AI voice generator gets going, I do not know how to stop it. Ditto for exports of audio files or other similar time instensive/costly features. Can you add a "stop" in the pull down menu for these tasks?

Cancel transcription

More than once I've set up automatic transcription for an existing audio file and then promptly realized I do actually have access to an existing accurate transcript. So I seek a way to cancel the transcription-in-progress, and find there's no such option. It's not even possible to delete the recently-imported audio, so as to start again.

sometimes I just want to use the studio sound and audio tools without using up any of my transcription time. Being able to turn off transcription would be great
