Hi, I can translate from Ukrainian to English but not vice versa. Please add the option

We regularly run webinars which have both English and Spanish speakers on the call, and we switch between languages regularly. For example, an intro to a call might be in Spanish for a Spanish-primary audience, but have an English-primary presenter. The host or a translator might jump in occasionally to translate an idiom or just to do a deeper dive in their preferred language. We'd like to be able to highlight portions of a clip or transcript and set their transcription languages separately, especially after a first transcript pass or speaker detection. This could be linked to Speaker detection and we could set cloned English or Spanish speakers (eg, Vivi in English, Vivi in Spanish). This is a necessity for Spanglish as well as many other contexts where some words are 'borrowed' terms or phrases from one language to another. At the bare minimum, we need to be able to manually select and create clip languages.

On a related note, the only current workaround recommended to me by Descript was to re-import the media and select a different language. As far as I can tell, that means downloading and re-uploading (there does not appear to be a 'duplicate' option in Media to do this all in the cloud). That's a waste of bandwidth (and time) for all involved.

Thanks for considering ways to make the tool more accessible for localization, diversity, equity and inclusion reasons.

Turkish transcription is very very poor. To the degree that it is basically unusable. Best translating engine for Turkish I found so far is: Transkriptor. Could their engine be implemented ? Even Youtube auto captions is far better. Please find a solution to this.

At the moment it is wrong to even say Descript has Turkish among supported languages.

Deactivate automatic selection of "Always prompt for transcription language" box. I'm constantly wasting subscription time by automatically starting the transcription in the wrong language.

I used Rooms (Beta) and it automatically transcribed in English but my podcast interview was in German. Is there a way to define what language the interview is in?

Please, add the advanced features such removal of filler words, retakes, word gaps and other for Russian language as well as AI avatars.

My company operates in Baltics and we have both English and Russian speaking clients. It is a very wide audience in the whole world, not only in Russia. I hope you take it as a priority in the nearest future.

The German Transcribe is often not spelling correctly. Most nouns are not written in capital first letter, the grammar and . and , setting is not correct. That means so much manual correction.

I compared Hindi transcriptions of Descript and Gling, at this point, it is much better in detecting silences, repetitive sentences, and the general transcription than Descript.
