Feature Requests

I use Descript to transcribe existing, edited videos. I then export the "subtitles" to use as captions on YouTube, LinkedIn, etc. When I remove the filler words for the transcript, the timestamps become out of sync with the finished video. It gets worse and worse as the video goes on. I would love you to add a button that says "Maintain Existing Timestamps" when removing filler words from a transcript. If this is already available, PLEASE let me know how to do it. Thanks!

Add Arabic translation to my reel

I compared Hindi transcriptions of Descript and Gling, at this point, it is much better in detecting silences, repetitive sentences, and the general transcription than Descript.

I have to go deep into project/recordings/... to start it. It used to be automatic, which was way better. It pulls 4 clips. 2, sometime three of which are useless. Please have it pull clips containg someone talking.

The German Transcribe is often not spelling correctly. Most nouns are not written in capital first letter, the grammar and . and , setting is not correct. That means so much manual correction.

About 20% of 30-45 minute recordings are transcribed as random nonsense or the word "Okay, okay, okay" over and over when other words were said. Transcription using this feature is broken and not working properly when using the beta feature.

Speaker labeling is only seemingly possible in an automated way once the transcription finishes. I would like to be able to invoke it again.

Dear Descript Support Team, Please, add the advanced features such removal of filler words, retakes, word gaps and other for Russian language as well as AI avatars. My company operates in Baltics and we have both English and Russian speaking clients. It is a very wide audience in the whole world, not only in Russia. I often have ranges of text that are garbled or messed up in the transcript. I'd like the ability to select that range, and have Descript reprocess that range. Honestly, I care about this more than anything else you do. I waste so much time with this shit -- it's a foundation, quality issue.
