Feature Requests

I would like to have a sidebar option to list of all my markers. This way, I can have an outline of the composition and jump right to a specific marker to start working

Instead of looping, freeze, or stretch tracks to fill the scene.

I know the Record with Others feature is in Beta and the Squadcast recorder allowed for scheduling recording sessions. I would love to see that feature added to the Beta because having to send the link minutes before recording is problematic.

It would be amazing if Descript could create a wizard to automatically remove mouth "clicks" just like you can auto remove "ums" and "ahhs" we see these an a different color on the timeline already. So perhaps you are already identifying them.

Ability to copy media on the script, and paste it on to a scene as B-Roll.

Many filler words that are automatically removed result in a harsh cut of the audio. I would like an option that only removes filler words that can be cleanly removed. For example, if the filler word has a pause between the start and end of it.

I'd love it if you could add the status (percentage complete) of a video export. Some of my videos are long (30 min+) and it takes over 30 min to export them. I'd like to know the status.

I'd like to export transcription data that I can use in an interactive transcript. i.e. A transcript where each word is highlighted as it is spoken in the audio (in the same way that words are highlighted as they are spoken in the Descript app itself). Ideally you'd be able to export to both these options, and have some control over how the exported data is formatted. For example, should the current word in a line inside a VTT file be bolded.

I'd like the ability to edit MP3 tags of my output file (such as title, album, track, author, cover image.)

It seems like we either have to delete all filler words, or go through one by one. I would LOVE to be able to select a filler word I don't want to get rid of and ignore it or mark it not a filler word so I can still bulk remove the others
