Feature Requests

I would love to see an update in when using the word gap remover tool (amazing by the way one of the reasons I moved over from CapCut), that it doesn't create the "gaps" then in the scene splits. I find myself still spending a good 30 mins to an hour having to crop out the gaps before and after the scene splits.

Dragging the word bar to create a freeze frame is great for people who use freeze frames, but for those of us who need a lot of word gaps, you've taken our quick tool away from us. Right clicking and bringing up a menu, then clicking again is slowing things down. Can we maybe have a modifier like a Command-Drag or Option-Drag and get our word gaps back? At the very least can we get a Keyboard shortcut to add the word gap instead of having to right click?

I often work on trains and in locations with poor connection. It would be great if there was a true capacity for offline editing like other video editing programs. Even if some AI features would not work until wifi is back. The ability to cut and adjust local files would be amasing.

Currently I use 1 video with 2 seperate audio sources. It would be nice to be able to zoom in on my face and on the other speakers face and have it switch between people when they are speaking automatically. Multicam is very complicated at the moment.

Currently, it's only possible to select one clip at a time in the Layer Lane. If you've gotten into a state where there are a huge number of clips in the Layer Lane that you need to remove, being able to select multiple clips at one time would help streamline removing them (instead of deleting them individually).

I'm moving more and more to using Descript as my main bulk editor, even over Logic. One thing that would be super helpful that Logic has and Descript doesn't seem to is the ability to copy and paste the volume keyframe parameters, similar to copy/pasting volume automation in Logic and other DAWS to quickly remove unwanted breaths, click, background noise, etc. It would also be helpful to have the ability to drag and adjust one or multiple volume keyframes at once. Thank you!

Make it so we can edit audio in multitrack sequences on the timeline and not just in (Edit sequence screen) So we can adjust volume and mute selected sections in the timeline. Bonus include the settings of audio into the scene (save) feature, so audio stays consistent across scenes. (SEE ATTACHMENT FOR VISUAL)

Allow user ability to select multiple elements in timeline at once with shift or cmd or drag

currently any audio recorded from a lavalier mic system that is attached to a video will only be played in the left or right ear, it would be great for a simple convert button or a split track option if one has an L/R interview mic system.

Lots of podcasters and radio producers are using Descript to help with their editing, with the primary focus being on the audio. It would be great if users could load the finished audio into Descript, load in the original video, and Descript then cuts the video to match the audio transcript. MKII of this idea would be to automatically insert cutaways to hide the edits.
