Apply your own LUTs to visuals in Descript.

As a no-face content creator, I rely heavily on showing visuals, text, and physical items on screen, which means transitions are everything when it comes to keeping the flow smooth and engaging. Right now, Descript’s limited transition options feel super restricting, especially compared to mobile apps like CapCut and InShot that offer dozens of dynamic options. Also, it’s really frustrating having to manually select the same transition every time I split a scene. Please consider adding a feature that lets us set a default transition that auto-applies throughout the video unless changed. It would save time, boost consistency, and improve the editing flow dramatically. More transitions + default transition = a game-changer for creators who aren’t filming themselves on camera but still want high-quality visuals. I would use Descript exclusively for all my editing and not have to export it into inShot to finalize, it would make everything SO much easier! If this would make your workflow easier too, vote this up! 🙌

Sometimes I don't like to remove filler words because it doesn't feel natural or it creates too many noticeable edit points. But I don't want this to appear in the captions either. Would love to see this as a possibility or I may stick to premiere pro just for the closed captions

Support gradients not just solid colors as a fill type

Bring log footage from popular cameras up to Rec 709 within Descript using built-in LUTs

Please add a makeup filter effect. I film a lot of video and often find myself having to apply makeup just to film, or otherwise I just look washed out. You could add a skin tone smoother, eyeshadow, and some shades of lipstick. These features are already widely used in lots of apps, so it shouldn't be too hard but would make life so much easier for many people, I think.

Seems like a trivial one but it would be great to add a few nice animated Like/Subscribe graphics, we've got arrows and other things but this would be an obvious one for all channels.

Set skin tone based on an eye dropper to automatically adjust visuals for skin tone

Pick white point with an eye dropper to set white balance

We need face smoothing effects, much like we can do on Zoom with Touch Up My Appearance. It can be very light, but it is still nice to have. Zoom has the best one I've seen so far, so I would love seeing at least that.
