Feature Requests

I've been using descript for around 4 years with this setup, but v 2.4.0 has broken these inputs when recording direct to descript. Adding my vote to support Elgato Camlink 4K and Shure MV7!

Please, this is huge for a lot of people!

Would be nice to have the option before transcription starts. Sometimes I break wind and laugh during the recording. 🤣💨

For reference, there's a product called Screen Studio ( https://screen.studio/ ) that does this really well. I am all in on Descript, but I'll have to use this other product for that one thing and import my screen share videos into Descript. This feature saves me HOURS of editing time. I'd want the ability to automatically apply zoom-in and have the screen follow my cursor. Some other good ones would be: Auto smooth cursor movement Change cursor size and type after recording Hide static cursor

It would be nice to be able to stream to multiple platforms from squad-cast for virtual interviews.

This would allow for picking Windows to record rather than just dragging a box on screen. It also likely improves CPU use, removes need to use driver to record system audio, and a host of other recording benefits. https://developer.apple.com/documentation/updates/screencapturekit

We do training videos and have multiple cameras going for the recordings. If the recorder could record from multiple cameras at the same time into a multicam sequence, this would simplify many workflows and would make the audio be automatically synced between each video!

Hi. I have updated my desktop version to the latest version which requires an internet connection to create and record a new project. I understand why this would be great in theory, but in practice, it was a nightmare. I almost didn't get my episode recorded. Is there a way to record a new project without internet connection. This was one of the features I loved about the old desktop version. I had flexibility to record, even when I didn't have an internet connection. Thanks for your help and always trying to improve our user experience. Thanks.
