Pick white point with an eye dropper to set white balance

Much like you now change were the eyes are looking, could you sync the lip movement with past examples of that word being spoken?

Bring log footage from popular cameras up to Rec 709 within Descript using built-in LUTs

We need face smoothing effects, much like we can do on Zoom with Touch Up My Appearance. It can be very light, but it is still nice to have. Zoom has the best one I've seen so far, so I would love seeing at least that.

Set skin tone based on an eye dropper to automatically adjust visuals for skin tone

Some visibility for the status of effects that are processing. Applying something like Eye Contact to a long clip seems to take a long time. A %completed or estimated time remaining would be a huge quality of life bonus. It would help me make decisions like "should I get up and walk away for a bit?" or "Is this so long that maybe I should break this into smaller clips?"

Apply your own LUTs to visuals in Descript.

Please add a makeup filter effect. I film a lot of video and often find myself having to apply makeup just to film, or otherwise I just look washed out. You could add a skin tone smoother, eyeshadow, and some shades of lipstick. These features are already widely used in lots of apps, so it shouldn't be too hard but would make life so much easier for many people, I think.

Having circle and rounded rectangle masks for video tracks would be very helpful when you don't want to use a full image or green screen cutout, but still want to include the speaker. Hypothetically, the effect could just be a square to start, but with a roundness slider that, at 100, is a perfect circle. Options for this effect could include: Mask X/Y Placement, Mask X/Y Dimensions, Stroke Color, Stroke Weight (0=No stroke), Drop Shadow, Option for Green Screening subject in mask and replacing the background within the confines of the mask (either with a selectable color or image), and a dropdown that would include pre-built masks.
