Pls allow us to fine tune edits. like Extend by frames. I'm also experiencing a lag when i try and edit quickly. I am really not able to--it's a little clunky.

As an iPad Pro M4 user and active content creator, I would love to see Descript offer a native iPadOS version or at least full-featured web support for iPad Pro models running M-series chips. The iPad Pro now rivals laptops in performance, with desktop-class chips (M1–M4), full keyboard/trackpad support, Apple Pencil, and Thunderbolt/USB-C. It's frustrating that I can't run Descript's full desktop features (like timeline editing, AI tools, or 4K export) on such a powerful device. Please consider building native support or enhancing the web version for iPadOS so creators like me can fully utilize Descript in a mobile-first workflow without being forced back to a desktop. The iPad is no longer “just a tablet” — it's a full production tool. Thank you for listening and for continuing to innovate.

In addition to smart transition, which works better for significant changes in scene layouts, please consider something like a video generative AI transition effect Not creating a standalone AI Avatar, nor regenerating video for corrected words, but 'morphing' the headshot character as a transition between the video cuts such that we can avoid jump cuts and ghostly crossfades in the video

Currently, when playing Descript videos (from shareable links), the audio will stop when the screen is locked or you navigate away from the app. I am using Descript links for my course videos and this is a huge limitation as it forces the user to stay on the screen in order for the video to work. Please consider making the video playable as a podcast would be where the audio plays even if the screen is locked or you navigate away from the page.

We need face smoothing effects, much like we can do on Zoom with Touch Up My Appearance. It can be very light, but it is still nice to have. Zoom has the best one I've seen so far, so I would love seeing at least that.

The files which I want to use with Descript are not stored on my computer, but on Google Drive and OneDrive. It would be a real timesaver if I can add audio and video files straight from those storage locations.

Feature request for the ability to adjust the speed of generated Overdub audio. Looking for Controls to speed up / slow down the cadence. Ability to adjust the spacing between words and / or phrases.

In an audio project, in the timeline, if I want to add a layer and I want it to start before the beginning of where it currently starts, I have to awkwardly create a gap clip and keep stretching it out until it's long enough to extend the new layer. The exact same is true for the end of a composition too. I shouldn't have to mess around with gap clips. I should be able to just place the new layer to start (or end) where I want it, even if it's outside of the pre-existing timeline.
